let's make art again, start again, sometime.
work both arms and legs hard again, sometime.
move back to the place where we started.
winter comes and goes, all the snow adds up.
good friends calm the cold, growing old, not up.
climb into the room.
to rid the world of blood, two heartbeats at a time.
all was right, while we were swimming.
we caused the banks to flood, so we could swim again.
we take more than we are given.
and we'll have it all.
we can't get enough blood in our stomachs.
pumping hearts give and we receive.
sometimes the earth gets a cut and it bleeds,
over the mountains and into the trees,
and we were so hungry
but now we are full.
call this what it was, but it wasn't anything.
always want to talk. what causes everything?
everything still comes down to
what you can and cannot do,
with one hand tied behind your back.
I was not lost because this wasn't anything.
how come we must give cause to everything?
we used to have the place to ourselves,
when our home was a cell
and chase what did not exist,
we're just dogs, we're just kids.
we told ourselves we would not let
space or time get the best of us.
and so here we are.
everyone's asleep but us
tonight
buddy.
everyone's asleep but us
so goodnight,
buddy.
